Venue Stengade
Stengade, the venue at ‘Stone Street’ (venue is named after the street ‘Stengade’ – in English ‘Stone Street’) in Copenhagen, opened on the 18th of September 2010 after having been closed since summer 2009.
Behind the opening is a group of new volunteers who are members of the association Stengade 18th.
The association was formed when the old ‘Stengade 30′ closed, and the goal is to establish a new venue in the old premises.
Venue manager Aslak Balle Hansen was hired in June 2010 by the association Stengade 18th. It is his job to make sure that Stengade is a user-controlled house, where volunteers are at the forefront of events.
