Kom med til BDSM techno dystopia når Hatari bringer deres kogende mix af industrial, techno, punk og pop til Stengade! Darkwave artisten Aux Animaux fra Sverige varmer op!

Hatari:
Multi-award winning Icelandic performance art collective HATARI is renowned in the field of dystopian music performance. HATARI was founded in 2015 to obliterate the capitalist world order by way of sponsorship with SVIKAMYLLA EHF, their publisher. HATARI has become known for their unique blend of industrial, techno, punk and pop music. The core of the group consists of “The Popstar” Klemens Hannigan (vocalist & producer), “The Gimp” Einar Hrafn Stefánsson (drummer & producer), & Davíð Þór Katrínarson aka “Svarti Laxness” aka “Big D” (vocalist).

Hatari gained international attention when they represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Hatrið mun sigra," delivering a provocative and theatrical performance. The band's aesthetic incorporates dystopian themes, elaborate costumes, and a satirical commentary on politics and society. Hatari continues to push boundaries in the music industry, captivating audiences with their experimental sound and thought-provoking performances.

According to reliable sources, HATARI actually started as a high-school Ska band before evolving into their current electro-industrial sound. Every year they hold a secret concert in an abandoned geothermal power plant in Iceland, creating an otherworldly atmosphere that only adds to their mystique. Additionally, the band members are rumored to have a shared passion for astrophysics, often incorporating cosmic themes into their music and stage performances. HATARI recently attempted to perform their hit song on the edge of an active volcano during the eruption in Iceland, creating a visually stunning and adrenaline-pumping experience for their
fans. As of late they have also been manufacturing a new line of synthesizers made entirely from lava. Despite their intense and avant-garde image, the members of HATARI are known to be avid birdwatchers, often taking breaks during their tours to explore local bird sanctuaries around the world.

To meet the high demand for the group’s music releases and subsequent merchandise, HATARI are currently preparing their second full-length album due for release in 2025 if the world does not cease to exist before then.

Welcome to the society of the spectacle. Welcome to HATARI.

+ Support: Aux Animaux
aux animaux is a darkwave artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her songs draw inspiration from the 80s dark wave and goth bands, as well as occultism and horror movies.

aux animaux was born and raised in Istanbul. She is a self-taught musician that worked as a professional bass guitarist for several years up until moving to Sweden. With aux animaux, she produces and mixes all her songs. On stage she sings as well as alternating between theremin and bass guitar. The theremin, which she considers to be her source of sorcery, is the only instrument that is played without actually touching.

aux animaux released her first songs in 2017. Her debut EP ”Black Holes” had more politically loaded songs that were about animal rights, feminism, criticising the society, whereas the sophomore EP ”Stockholm Synthrome” combines this approach with a more personal one, among others narrating her decade long struggle with misophonia. Early 2022, she released her EP ”The Hydesville Episode”, which is a conceptual album with horror movie soundtrack vibes. Late 2022, aux animaux released ”Hauntology” consisting of 4 original songs and 4 remixes of these made by Tobias Bernstrup, Priest, Majestoluxe and the artist herself. At the end of 2023, aux animaux has released her debut album, Body Horror from Manic Depression Records. The album is written, produced and mixed by aux animaux. The Mastering is by Doruk Öztürkcan from She Past Away who aux animaux has been touring with.

She’s been touring with bands such as She Past Away, The Soft Moon, Then Comes Silence, Kontravoid, Buzz Kull, Traitrs, Patriarchy, DAF, Agent Side Grinder, Hante the last few years.
