Sababa 5 burst onto the music scene in 2016, embarking on a captivating global musical journey. The band's dynamic fusion of genres and influences has continuously pushed boundaries, collaborating with artists from various corners of the globe. Drawing inspiration from wrecking crew recordings of the '60s to analog Middle Eastern music of the '70s, Sababa 5's sound constantly evolves across different genres and rhythms, always maintaining a groove-centric foundation.

Their music blends Mediterranean rhythms and melodies with elements of rock and psychedelic funk, creating a unique fusion of East and West.

Chamber folk act Homesickness to play Stengade

It will be an avant-folk evening when Copenhagen Homesickness hits Stengade with experimental chamber folk on October 2nd.

Homesickness:
Homesickness, a septet based in Copenhagen, crafts experimental chamber-folk music led by singer, guitarist, and lyricist Malthe Junge. The band has garnered significant acclaim, praised for their "gorgeous and wild" sound and "stunning blend of jazz, post-rock, and folk." In a trust-based and compassionate musical space, the group creates a varied sonic landscape, noted for their rich instrumentation - such as violin, cello, woodwinds and bells—elaborate arrangements, and deeply personal lyrical themes.

Hardcore Easter at Stengade

Good Friday will be hardcore mayhem as Germans Dethroned will be playing together with danish Hard Lessons, Mite and Sloevsind.

Early bird tickets are available for the next couple of weeks for only 100 kr.

Dethroned describe their music as hardcore death metal crossover with a good dose of groove. Dethroned are known for their unique stage presence, especially the frontman's signature dance moves, which have garnered a lot of attention on social media. His strong statements against homophobia have further cemented the band's message of inclusion, which has resonated deeply with their audience - the video went viral on Instagram (over 810,000 views) and TikTok this spring. Their shows are known for leaving a trail of destruction wherever they play, making each performance an unforgettable experience.
