**Jazz meets Drum'n'Bass**

What happens when two of Denmark's most uncompromising musical visions meet on stage?

MEINHARDT VS TUXEN is a meeting between two genres, two generations of electronic sound, two musical philosophies. Here, the melodic inventiveness and improvisational freedom of jazz meet with the hard-hitting intensity and rhythmic complexity of drum'n'bass. Here, the organic and the programmed, the swinging and the precise meet.

Jeppe Tuxen is known as one of the country's most charismatic organists - especially from his work in Ibrahim Electric. But at MEINHARDT VS TUXEN he steps away from the organ to explore his other musical passions. Here, it is the analog warmth of the MiniMoogen and the nostalgic digital universe of the Amiga 500 that define the sound palette. No Hammond. Only synthesizers and vintage computing. This is Tuxen in a different version - synth-driven, experimental, electronic.

Anders Meinhardt is the man who put Danish live drum'n'bass on the world map, with the band F.U.K.T in the 00s and 10s. Born in Copenhagen in 1981, he started playing drums at the age of four and has since dedicated himself to transferring the precision and intensity of electronic music to the acoustic drum kit. His signature hi-hat techniques and ability to play hardcore drum'n'bass live have inspired drummers (and filled dance floors) the world over.

Anders played Denmark (and Europe) sparingly with the Drum&Bass band F.U.K.T back in the 00s and 10s. Not least on Stengade at one of the legendary OHOI parties. The last few years he has played at bass parties with his one-man show and is now returning to Stengade with his high-energy mix of the British breakbeat genres. Expect a heavy, hard and tight set with a focus on flow and dynamic variation. “Are you sure it’s not dangerous?”

Denmark’s original bass father

Lovingly known as the Jungle Professor and Bass Father, 2000F (he/him, born 1977 in Frederiksberg, Denmark) has since the early 1990s, continuously worked with all things related to bass music and soundsystem culture.

Rave promoter - Club owner - Festival organiser - DJ - Studio engineer - Producer - Label founder - Record and music equipment collector - Soundsystem enthusiast - the list is long.

Rooted in early rave, dub and jungle music, 2000F has built a heavyweight bass-centred sound inspired by pagan spiritualism and Norse mythology, dark and deep as the cold Nordic winters. Bass harder than the Mímisbrunnr. Drums ruffer than the Einherjer of Valhal. Never-ending echoes from beyond the fogs of Niflheim.

With a special focus on dubplates, 2000F is continuously adding rare dubs to his huge catalogue whether it be new or old bass music. Always looking to go further in the musical endeavours of bass music - from jungle, grime, reggae and dubstep to jab jab, steppas, gqom and drum n bass.

2000F is an avid collector of electronic instruments and studio gear. He is educated as a professional audio engineer for many years, and also holds an MA in urban geography specialising in pirate radio culture.

2000F works as the CEO of Strøm, Denmark’s official electronic music organisation, and also co-runs Bas Under Buen and OHOI!, the two primary promoters of bass culture in Denmark. Furthermore, he is also part of the Fyraftensboogie crew, the label Dubfabrikken Records, and the Kapellet and Moremax music studios.

2000F has released on: Hyperdub, Kraken Recordings, Tribe84, Raske Plader, Melting Pot Music, Acid Jazz and other labels too.
