Sababa 5 burst onto the music scene in 2016, embarking on a captivating global musical journey. The band’s dynamic fusion of genres and influences has continuously pushed boundaries, collaborating with artists from diverse corners of the globe. Drawing inspiration from wrecking crew recordings of the ’60s to analog Middle Eastern music of the ’70s, Sababa 5’s sound constantly evolves across different genres and rhythms, always maintaining a groove-centric foundation.

Their music blends Mediterranean rhythms and melodies with elements of rock and psychedelic funk, creating a unique fusion of East and West.

Sababa 5 are embarking on a new live tour with Nadir, their upcoming full-length album – a deeper, more cinematic journey into psychedelic soul and Middle Eastern groove.

With the release of their first single ‘VU’ on May 13th, the band begins a new chapter, immersed in hypnotic rhythms, swirling textures, and shadowy grooves that connect the past with the future.

Named after the astronomical point directly beneath the observer, Nadir represents introspection and transformation. It's where the cosmic and earthly worlds converge, and where Sababa 5 shape their most evocative sound yet.

+ Support: Eastern Fire
Eastern Fire is a DJ duo consisting of Nayan (Worldy) & Sebastian (Hej Leif). They both met in the reggae collective Onsdagsklubben, but both looked further east. Through their love for non-western music, they have played their bellydance disco/funk records at e.g. Karrusel festival, and warmed up for El Khat.

This evening they will focus on tight drums, and synthesizers - which will get the audience completely ready for the evening's headliner.
